Ingredients

1 kg of any Red meat of your choice , I’m using mutton pieces
3 onions chopped finely 
4 tablespoons of vegetable oil 
6 potatoes peeled and cut into 4 
1 cabbage washed and chopped into small pieces . 
Salt to taste 
1 tablespoon of black pepper
2 whole chilies ( optional )

Method 

In a large pot heat the oil and add your meat , browning it on all sides , now add your onions and allow to brown as well stirring , add your salt , black pepper and c chilies , now add 1 cup of warm water and let the meat cook on medium heat till the water has cooked away , now add 2 cups of hot water and cook meat till almost tender 35-40 minutes . Now add your potatoes and cabbage , stirring all the ingredients … Allow to Braise for 10 minutes , now add 1 cup of warm water and cook till potatoes are tender . 
Serve with a white rice , beetroot or onion and cucumber salad. 

Tip – the browner your meat and onions the richer the flavour of your food – the brown gravy will give the potatoes and cabbage a brownish colour .
