JOHANNESBURG – Transportation and distribution of liquor to licensed premises is permitted from Friday, 29 May.
That’s according to Defence Minister Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula.
Mapisa-Nqakula said this is subject to directions by relevant ministers.
From Monday onwards liquor will be sold under lockdown level three regulations from Mondays to Thursdays from 9am-5pm.
However, government says onsite consumption of liquor is prohibited and e-commerce sales will be permitted subject to the same onsite trade days and time.
The sale of liquor on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays is prohibited under level three of the lockdown regulations.
