South Africans will celebrate 13 days off in 2020.

According to the Public Holidays Act, Monday, August 10 will become an additional public holiday. This will be an extra day to celebrate National Women’s Day on August 9.

According to a governmental calendar, here are 2020’s public holidays :

January 1 – New Year’s Day

March 21 – Human Rights Day

April 10 – Good Friday

April 13 – Family Day

April 27 – Freedom Day

May 1 – Worker’s Day

June 16 – Youth Day

August 9 – National Women’s Day

August 10 – Public Holiday

September 24 – Heritage Day

December 16 – Day of Reconciliation

December 25 – Christmas

December 26 – Day of Goodwill
